Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny periods with some very light rain Max Speed: Distance Covered: 3.50 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Tuesday 23rd September - walks *** – Around Felixstowe – sunny
periods with a little light rain.
Mag and I headed down to Felixstowe seafront for the usual early morning
walk along the prom, with a big bank of cloud out on the horizon we were
not expecting much of a sunrise but it is always nice to be out, nice and
quiet too! For a change we walked the other way towards the Manor end, with
the breeze from the north, offshore the sea was very flat, on approaching
the little yellow beach hut kiosk we were greeted by a very friendym chatty
black and white cat who came over to make a fuss, I think the cat is quite
famous for its visits to the beach:) We carried onto the big wheel before
heading back to the pier just in time to see the sun break above the clouds
and lovely it was too:) Back home for breakfast in bed and sort out my
pics, after yesterdays trip over the border to Wrabness for a foil I
couldn,t face doing it again today so had a day off from sailing, perhaps I
will go there again tomorrow? Despite the wind from the north, a chilly
direction I still managed to do my exercises in the back garden despite a
few spots of rain, Mag got her washing dried and had fun wettering and dead
heading.
Being Tuesday we go to visit our old friend Mary for a chat over a cuppa
and biscuit walking there via Felixstowe prom again, she had had her copy
of the Felixstowe Spotlight Magazine delived and was chuffed to be on the
cover again:)
